GBIF Italia hosted portal is online
The hosted protal of the Italian GBIF Nationsl Node - GBIF Italia - is available online in Italian and English sionce March 10, 2026.
The National Node was instituted in October 2025, and one of the first steps which were carried out was the development of this portal, in order to provide the Italian GBIF community an access poit to resources, statistics, and information.
What’s for us in the future?
The portal will grow in the short and medium term, and will provide novel services to the national and international GBIF community.
The developments will reflect the commitment of our wide community to contribute open data to the GBIF, as well as to develope services to be replicated and reused by researchers and data providers worldwide.
